Talking Scanner does not collect, store, or share any of your personal data. The app works entirely offline on your device.

Talking Scanner is built with privacy at its core. We believe your documents are your business — not ours.
Data We Collect
None.
We do not collect any data whatsoever. Talking Scanner:
- Does NOT require an internet connection to function
- Does NOT upload your documents to any server
- Does NOT use cloud-based processing
- Does NOT require account creation or sign-in
- Does NOT track your usage or behavior
- Does NOT contain analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs
- Does NOT share any information with third parties
On-Device Processing
Every feature of Talking Scanner works entirely on your device:

What Stays on Your Device
All of the following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted anywhere:
- Scanned document images
- Extracted text from your documents
- Generated audio files
- Your voice preference settings
- Your audio library and playback history
Device Permissions

We only request permissions when you use the related feature. We never access more than necessary.
Third-Party Services
Talking Scanner uses zero third-party services that process your data:
- No analytics services (no Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
- No crash reporting services (no Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.)
- No advertising networks
- No cloud storage providers
- No external APIs
The only external interaction is with Apple's App Store for processing in-app purchases, which is handled entirely by Apple according to Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your data exists only on your device. We cannot access it, back it up, or recover it because we never receive it in the first place.
- To delete your data: Simply delete audio files within the app, or delete the app entirely
- When you delete the app: All data (documents, audio files, settings) is permanently removed from your device
- We have no backups: Because we never had access to your data
No Accounts Required
Talking Scanner does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information. You can use the app immediately after downloading.
Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we collect no data at all, this applies to users of all ages.
International Users
Since all processing happens on your device and we collect no data, there are no data transfers to consider. Your data stays on your device regardless of your location.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
